VasQFlow - A science-backed natural supplement formulated using quality ingredients with proven efficacy in raising nitric oxide levels and balancing blood pressure.

Lift the level of nitric oxide

Low levels of nitric oxide can lead to poor blood circulation and cold hands/feet. VasQFlow contains quality ingredients with proven efficacy in raising nitric oxide levels.

Healthy blood pressure and circulation

Contains nitrates to boost your body’s natural production of nitric oxide, which signals the blood vessels to relax and expand for better circulation.

More oxygen to body cells

Nitric oxide stimulates blood flow and better delivery of oxygen to the body’s cells, promoting healthy organs and functions.

Why Nitric Oxide?

Because nitric oxide is the most effective way to get the benefits referred to above by dilating the blood vessels. This gives more space for the blood to flow through, just like water flows easier through a wider diameter pipe.

In 1992, the journal Science proclaimed nitric oxide (NO) "molecule of the year". Six years later, three scientists, Ferid Murad, Luis Ignarro and Robert Furchgott, shared a Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine for their discoveries concerning nitric oxide molecules in the body.

Although nitric oxide has largely flown under the radar for the last 20 years, it is now being widely recognised for its therapeutic benefits and the critical role that it plays in multiple areas of our health. To better understand how important that role is, look at the image below, the detail of which was compiled by the National Institute of Health.

Nitric

Pivotal Role

As you can see, nitric oxide plays a pivotal role in all aspects of our health.

Nitric oxide is produced in our endothelium, a thin membrane that lines the inside of our heart and blood vessels.

As we age, the endothelium loses efficiency, and when we get past the age of 30, levels of nitric oxide drop rapidly. By the time we are 60, we only produce 1/5th of the nitric oxide we did when we were 20. Some people with a great diet and lots of exercises do a bit better.

Our Ability to Produce Nitric Oxide Declines With Age

Flowers

This data clearly shows that once we get over 30 years of age, the majority of us start sliding down the slope of reducing nitric oxide production, which can lead to the concerns that we mentioned earlier being…

  • Low energy
  • Cold hands or feet
  • Slow recovery after exercise
  • Brain ‘fog’
  • Lack of stamina

Why is Nitric Oxide so Important?

Nitric oxide is a vasodilator. In a nutshell, this means it opens up the blood circulatory systems by relaxing and expanding the blood vessels and allowing the easier flow of blood throughout the body and organs. This has the automatic benefit of reducing the risk of blood clots, normalising blood pressure, improving immune response, better mental clarity and a host of other benefits that result from better blood flow and better delivery of oxygen to the cells.

Nitric oxide released by nitroglycerine tablets have been around for decades and are still the most effective treatment to relieve angina pain which occurs when the heart is not getting enough blood or for a heart attack. Viagra, which boosts nitric oxide, was discovered by mistake as it was being trialled for cardiovascular problems and the researchers found that the men in the trial had involuntary erections. So, nitric oxide has a wide variety of uses! 😊

How can we Raise Nitric Oxide in our Bodies?

1. Nitric oxide is normally produced by the endothelial lining in our arteries...but, as shown in the table above, that ability diminishes rapidly with age and cannot be relied on.

2. Nitric oxide can be inhaled. The inhalation of nitric oxide gas has been shown to kill virtually all viruses and keep the airways open due to the vasodilator properties of nitric oxide. It is also used to treat premature babies with respiratory failure.

3. From food. Some foods, such as beetroot, contain natural nitrates, which convert to nitric oxide, but you cannot get enough from food alone as you age.  For example, you would have to eat 10 – 25 beetroot a day…not practical.  A special form of red spinach is much higher, but in its raw form you would need to eat around 100 grams a day…also not practical.

4. From Supplements. Some bodybuilders take copious amounts of L-Arginine, L-Citrulline and beetroot powders which can give an immediate burst of nitric oxide but are not a sustainable solution. In addition to giving an immediate boost, the endothelium needs to be supported to help it contribute to the ongoing production of nitric oxide. This requires a much more scientific approach.

Our scientists set out to solve the problem by researching the best possible formula to enable us to produce the best possible supplement!

We knew that there were natural ingredients with good clinical data showing their efficacy in reducing blood pressure and surmised that those benefits were likely to be due to nitric oxide. So, that was the starting point: Identify those ingredients with strong clinical data supporting their efficacy in lowering blood pressure and then examine the mechanism of action to see if their efficacy was due to nitric oxide production.

We identified three key natural ingredients with excellent clinical data supporting their efficacy for normalising blood pressure. We then examined their mechanism of action and found that the positive blood pressure properties were primarily due to being excellent at raising nitric oxide levels. They are:

Quercetin

A natural flavonoid-rich in polyphenols. It is becoming popular as a natural ingredient for supporting immune function… but it also has excellent data supporting its efficacy in improving the function of the endothelial, which in turn helps the production of nitric oxide.

Black Garlic Extract

(Note: this is quite different and more effective than normal garlic). We included this not only for its ability to activate nitric oxide synthase but also has the ability to inhibit Angiotensin ll, which is a molecule that causes vasoconstriction, which is tightening of the blood vessels.

Grape Seed Extract

This full-spectrum grape seed extract from New Zealand is very high in polyphenols and especially proanthocyanins. It also promotes nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) which is responsible for nitric oxide production.

We included all three of these ingredients in the new formula VasQFlow at levels included in the clinical studies for maximum efficacy.

During our research to examine the nutrients with the highest level of nitrates, we found a specific form of baby red spinach that contains as much as 20 – 50 times more nitrates than beetroot. So, we included this ingredient as well. We had to use 20 tonnes of fresh red spinach to make 200kgs of the extract. We have 1,000mgs of this extract in each daily dose. This is equivalent to about 100 grams of fresh red spinach a day which alone would cost between $90 - $180 a month if you could find it in your supermarket. It is difficult to find. We took months of checking sources of red spinach and testing for nitrate content. Most did not meet specifications after testing but we finally found a source of natural red spinach which gave us a yield of not less than 9% nitrates. The first batch we approved tested at 16% nitrates. Refer to the blog listed below for more info.

An advantage of using an extract instead of fresh red spinach is that the process of extraction removes the oxalate present in spinach and which can cause kidney stones.

Co-Factors

In many supplements, it is desirable to add some co-factors to enhance the efficacy of the key ingredients. VasQFlow is no exception. For example, to get the best out of garlic, you need to have vitamin B12. The bio-availability of nitric oxide is influenced by serum homocysteine levels, so we need extra folate…and so on. These are the additional seven co-factors that we added.

Additional Immune Benefit

Although the prime objective of this product is to raise the nitric oxide levels in the body to receive all the benefits listed in the chart above, including immunity, we saw an opportunity to boost immunity even further, which would be welcome in the current environment.

Quercetin provided that opportunity as it is also an “ionophore” for zinc. An ionophore enables certain molecules to move through cell membranes into the cell. Zinc is well established as an effective molecule to prevent the replication of viruses within the cell, and quercetin helps get it to where it needs to be. So, we added zinc citrate as another co-factor to facilitate that.

Carrier and channel ionophore

(a) Carrier ionophores reversibly bind ions and carry them through cell membranes

(b) Channel ionophores create channels within cell membranes to facilitate the transport of ions.

Summary

VasQFlow is a product that has multiple benefits. It is compatible with all other Xtend-Life products, particularly with CX8. If you are serious about doing everything possible to support your cardiovascular system, this product is a very sensible addition to your current regimen.

It didn't really work for me

I tried it for 3 weeks and even up dose from recommended dosage the last week, but did not see any drop in the HPB. I even added the magnesium/potassium supplement that was shipped together, but it looks like it didn't really help me. It may work for others, but for me I don't think it worked.

    VASQ FLOW

I wish that was something I could review. It would take time, and extensive testing to determine. I'm simply trusting that you folks know what you're doing and making a good product that I can trust in. Thank you if you are! Ivor Cummins made me aware of CX8. I've been taking it for some time now and my CAC score stopped getting worse. I hope your product had something to do with that. Sincerely, Mark
