Do I have to use a moisturizer as well as the oil?

It depends on your skin type. If you have particularly dry skin, you could benefit from using a small amount of moisturizer such as Restorative Night Cream after applying the oil. However, if you use Nourishing Facial Oil consistently, your skin should feel more hydrated after a few weeks. 

If you do use a moisturizer in addition to the oil, apply the oil first then wait at least five minutes before applying moisturizer, for skin to fully absorb the product. 

Should I use Nourishing Oil if I have oily skin?

Yes, you can use Nourishing Facial Oil even if you have oily skin. Because oily skin lacks essential fatty acids, an oil that is rich in linoleic acid such as Rosehip oil and Grapeseed oil will boost your skin’s essential fatty acid profile.

Nourishing Facial Oil also contains Jojoba oil, which mimics the skin’s natural sebum, helping to balance oil production.

Can I use this oil under make-up?

You can use a small amount of this facial oil under your make-up, but recommend waiting at least five minutes after applying the oil before applying foundation to give your skin time to fully absorb the oil. 

Is it safe for me to use Kanapa™ skincare during pregnancy?

As our range is naturally-based it’s safe for use during pregnancy. We highly recommend our Replenishing Body Lotion during this time to deeply nourish the skin and help lessen the likelihood of developing stretch marks on the stomach and other areas.

A number of our key ingredients are sourced from New Zealand. These include Manuka honey, Kiwifruit extract, and New Zealand Harakeke oil and Mamaku extract in our unique Kanapa™  blend.

What is the shelf life of Kanapa™ skincare?

Our skincare products have a shelf life of two years from manufacture date and we recommend storing them in a cool dry place. Our skincare contains a significant number of antioxidants and in order to prevent oxidation of these potent ingredients, we’ve packaged our skincare in tubes. This prevents excessive exposure of the product to air. 

Is the fragrance in your lightly scented products natural?

Our Lightly Scented products in the women’s range have a subtle fragrance with hints of plum and vanilla blossom. The fragrance is derived from 100% natural ingredients.
