It makes you think that is for sure. Keeping in contact with your friends, loving someone, enjoying that cup of coffee with that special someone, having God in you life and letting other people know that he/she makes a difference in your life, enjoying your work everyday but know when to call it quits, take a vacation on a regular basis and transend some kindness to someone in your daily life. That about sums it up. Now go make a difference in someone’s day and start living today( the present) It isn’t called present for nothing. Tomorrow doesn’t matter. It is all about the here and now. Well what are you waiting for! START LIVING NOW.

Carbon 14 dating becomes inaccurate as soon as the amounts of 14C and 12C are no longer in the same ratio as when the test subject ceased to live. The change in the ratio of 14C and 12C will throw the projected date of the test subject off by thousands, or even tens of thousands of years. According to my view of the creation of the universe, ALL test subjects that existed prior to the World Wide Flood and that have been dated this way have been tampered with by the change in a ratio of 14C to 12C since the World Wide Flood (Which you will be quick to say just a rip-off of the Gilgamesh epic and it is not, I assure you. The account of Noahs flood is older than that story, which I believe was a rip off of Noahs history) which will cause the dates to be consistently incorrect. Dating modern or more contemporary items has proven this fact. Furthermore, it is impossible to Carbon 14 date anything older than 80,000 years (if anything can be that old) another technology should be used to date items suspected of being older than 80,000 years since at this threshold, C-14 dating is inaccurate.

I experienced it first hand on my way to work this AM! For the record, the creation account does not allow for rain. There was no rainfall until the flood, so Abraham was not attempting to explain the origin of rain.

Interesting that Job knew the earth was not flat and was suspended in space! Furthermore, the creation account you reference does not indicate that the moon generated its own light. It only states the fact that the moon is the lesser light when compared to the sun. In your statement, you are saying that the Sun is the light for both day and night (reflected off the moon of course). Your statement is in complete compliance with scripture – again – nowhere does scripture infer that the moon made its own light. It only states the fact that its light is LESSER (not as bright) than the light of the day.

Given the same amount of time and loss of evidence, one could claim that JFK was assassinated with an arrow and people would believe it especially if the people have been told this new info by somebody with a few extra letters after their name.

So go green and eliminate wasteful resources on weaponry. Lets live as Jesus would have lived with a private jet and yacht or space ship at his disposal. I do believe he would have held up his principles.

I cannot prove to you its existence any more than you can disprove it to me. As archeologists dig more up from the holy land and prove day in and day out that the stores in the bible were fact, my faith is reinforced. In fact, the book of Job speaks of dinosaurs long after man forgot about them (yes, I believe we existed WITH those land beasts) and well before we dug the first fossil up just a handful of decades ago. The age of the universe, as you put it at 13.8 billion years, is not old enough to accommodate the big bang, earths formation AND the evolution of life on this planet. As more and more is discovered in biology and archaeology, the age of the universe is pushed back further and further as well as the age of the earth.

Really? The truth is that we will live forever. And we get to choose where.

Would you put a Rolls Royce engine in a Mini? Then what is the point of putting a brain with the capacity to file info for thousands of years in a body that lives 70 Years? The immune system is so well designed that one doctor once stated that it is a miracle that we ever get sick in the first place. So not every one believes that the shortness of life is natural, indeed if it was, then mourning for the dead and fearing death would be considered unatural.

I believe the greatest regret I would have is to know I heard the truth about salvation through my Lord Jesus Christ and not have acted upon that knowledge. He is the reason I have peace and joy in this mad evil world we live in. Knowing I will be with Him when I die is the greatest joy I have.

The only regret I truly have is that I haven’t told more people about the Baha’i Faith. Sure, I regret certain decisions here and there but at present I am taking good care of my relationships and myself and have Baha’i standards to live by. I am sorry some things turned out as they did but I certainly did the best I could at the time and there are always some things for which we are sorry, over which we have no control, as the decisions lie with others in our lives.

I have heard of the 5 common regrets many years ago now.
There are many other regrets that could be added, no doubt. It takes courage to write a book of this sort, and more courage to read and take on the messages and act on them. I know it is difficult to teach children their future and how to live it, but if there is one message that really needs teaching it is about HOW to live, not WHAT to live.

I embrace my life. I have all the common complaints as well. Sometimes I am down, or I work too hard, or I take things too seriously. I have had to develop a little reminder to myself from time to time to get back on track.It’s free, easy, and everyone can do it. And it removes the regrets creeping in. On a medical level it also enhances our bodies by activating those parts of our brain and body that either release or enhance functions. SMILE. That’s all there is. Read the book, I recommend it. But go further and ‘Pay it forward’ a little each day. And try my trick, too.
