As with all versions of Total Balance it contains a comprehensive array of essential vitamins, minerals and co-factors. Additionally, it contains extra nutrients to help with energy and the general causes of aging and DNA repair. However, there are less of these special nutrients in this version than there are in the standard Total Balance Unisex version because space had to be provided for the 'male. nutrients. All these nutrients and more are however included in the Premium version of Total Balance Men's.

What difference will I feel?

Is it possible that I could feel any bad effects after I start taking Total Balance Men’s?
It is unlikely but possible. Depending upon the state of your health you may experience symptoms such as nausea or headaches over the first few days. This can occur if you have high levels of toxins in your body. Total Balance helps to activate your system to get rid of them, sometimes resulting in these mild temporary side effects. If you experience this we recommend that you reduce the dose rate until they pass. Also make sure that you drink plenty of pure water to help flush your system.

Why is the Vitamin E Dosage in Total Balance only 100 IU (50 mg) instead of the higher doses found in some other products?
For long-term 100IU is the safest dose level. Also, because Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin it is important not to ingest high levels on a regular basis. The amounts of Vitamin E that we use are still within the clinically proven beneficial range. It should be noted that we only use the natural form of Vitamin E which has greater benefits than synthetic Vitamin E.
Additionally, we also use a broad spectrum Tocotrienol which is another form of Vitamin E. This significantly improves the potency of Vitamin E.

I am a highly allergic person, especially to shrimp and other shell fish… Will Total Balance Men's affect me?
Unfortunately, our Total Balance range, including Women's Total Balance, contains N-Acetyl Glucosamine, which is made from crab shell. Because it is refined and only in a very small quantity it is unlikely to be a problem, but you should be aware of it and proceed with caution by only taking one tablet a day to start off with and then building up your daily dose gradually.

What about other allergies such as hay fever, pollen etc?
It is highly likely that you will notice a real benefit. Many of these allergies are thought to be due to specific nutrient deficiencies which Total Balance helps correct.

Will Total Balance Men's help with BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia)?
Total Balance Men's is a multi-nutrient and with particular ingredients to help male-specific health. One of its objectives is to help reduce or eliminate the symptoms of BPH. These ingredients have also been established as being beneficial for overall prostate health and as a potential preventative against prostate cancer particuarlly when combined with other ingredients in Total Balance such as Calcium D-Glucarate. Will Total Balance Men’s interfere with prescription medications?
As with all supplements caution must be applied if you are on medications of any sort. Total Balance contains ingredients like gingko biloba, which help thin the blood, so if you are on blood thinning medication this has to be taken into account. However, we have kept the amount to within safety limits for most prescription drugs.
Nonetheless, if you are using prescription drugs please let your health professional know that you are using this product. It is very rare that they will object, but play it safe and let them know. ________________________________________________________________________________________
I am taking Proscar as prescribed by my GP. Is it safe to take Total Balance Men’s with this?
Some of the ingredients in Total Balance Men’s Plus formula have a similar action to Proscar but they are much safer and do not have any negative side effects. In fact, there is evidence that supports an assertion that some of the 'male' ingredients in Total Balance Men's is at least if not more effective than Proscar but with no risk of negative side effects. it is generally OK to take this formula with Proscar, but nonetheless you should let your physician know if you decide to take it in addition to Proscar. If you are taking a prescription drug we do still recommend leaving a 3–4 hour gap between taking any prescription medications and taking your supplementation. ________________________________________________________________________________________
I have a problem with my testosterone levels, will I notice a difference?
It is very possible you will notice a difference. It is normal for testosterone levels to diminish with age, often due to testosterone being converted to estrogen. Total Balance Men’s contains Chrysin and other bio-actives to help combat this occurrence.

I am taking other nutritional supplements and natural medications. Is this OK?
Generally yes, but it is usually unnecessary and doesn't make economic sense unless you have been diagnosed with a specific deficiency.
There are risks associated with taking high doses of certain vitamins and minerals, e.g., high doses of vitamin C can actually contribute to the production of free radicals.
The levels of vitamins and minerals contained in Total Balance are sufficient, even if you are on a less than optimal diet. The manner in which they are combined within the formula enables the smaller doses to be much more effective than those found in a typical multi-vitamin.
Vitamins and minerals are the cheapest ingredients in the formula. If they were needed in higher amounts we would have increased them as the additional costs are minimal. ________________________________________________________________________________________
