A little over a month ago I mentioned in a blog entry ‘A Voyage’ that the blog posts from myself (and others) would be somewhat irregular for the next few months whilst I sail my boat to Thailand from New Zealand. Unfortunately I lost some time due to running into a storm between NZ and New Caledonia which has necessitated about three weeks of repairs.
These disruptions to my ‘normal’ program have prompted me to discuss with senior managements a plan to make some changes to the structure of the blog and the newsletter. The objective of these changes are to improve the relevance and variety of the blog posts and articles that we publish for you…whilst at the same time taking some of the pressure off me and ensuring regularity of postings.
One of the strategies to help us achieve this is to invite ‘outside’ contributors to submit articles and blog posts. We will have an editorial team to check any material that is published for accuracy so we can be sure that you are getting good information that you can use and rely on, as well as giving you some variety.
The guidelines for contributors will be prepared over the coming weeks along with the new structure. We won’t put a specific date on when these changes will take place as there is a lot of preparation work to be done.
Oh…we will also set up a personal blog for me on the company website so I can do personal posts on various things that I come across and which I think our readers may be interested in. Until then please bear with us during this period of irregular blog postings.
Thanks for your understanding.
