N.Zymes(R) PA (Pancreatin alternative) is a blend of fungal protease, amylase and lipase obtained from the fermentation of Aspergillus oryzae and Aspergillus niger. Like Pancreatin this blend has significant lipase activity. The lipase activity of this blend catalyzes the hydrolysis of triglycerides, yielding mono- and di-glycerides, glycerol and free fatty acids.
Th form is a dry powder. It is usually tan in color and free from offensive odor. It has an optimum pH range of 3 - 8.
