Axolight is an all-natural product derived from wheat bran that helps support a lighter, brighter complexion. Dark spots that show up on the skin after exposure to the sun or as a result of aging are caused by melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color. The process of melanin production, known as melanogenesis, is complex, and involves specific skin cells as well as the release of enzymes.
When skin cells are damaged – from pollutants and toxins that turn to free radicals, ravaging healthy skin cells – melanin production can escalate, resulting in dark spots that make skin appear older thanks to an uneven skin tone.
Axolight helps manage those age-related dark spots in two ways:
First, Axolight supports the skin’s healthy production of melanocytes, the cells that produce melanin, helping to better manage dark spots.
Secondly, it helps play a role in the management of tyrosinase, an enzyme that encourages the production of melanin on the skin’s surface and works harder when exposed to oxidative stress, a process that results in damaged, weakened skin cells.
Axolight’s main active ingredient, wheat bran, is rich in polyphenols, micronutrients that are also power-packed antioxidants that help the body cope with oxidative stress caused by free radical activity.
With less oxidative stress triggering the production of tyrosinase, less melanin is also produced, reducing the risk of dark spots.
With regular use, Axolight has been proven in studies to result in more luminous skin with a more even skin tone in as little as four weeks.
