Here are some extra hints to keep in mind when comparing Total Balance with other health supplements:
- Check if the product has high levels of Vitamin C, Calcium or Magnesium. Many manufacturers put high levels of these nutrients in their products as they are very cheap and help ‘bulk’ out the tablets…As an indication on comparative costs many of the ingredients that we use cost more than 80 times that of Vitamin C!
- If the product you are comparing Total Balance with has herbals in it, take a close look at them to confirm they are extracts and not just dry powders. Many herbal dry powders may only be 1/50th or even 1/100th as active as an extract. Consequently they are a lot cheaper.
- In the case of both herbal extracts and other specialized ingredients such as resveratrol have a look of the ‘actives’ present. For example: we use a 50% potency resveratrol in the ‘trans’ form which is the natural type. On the other hand some manufacturers use just a 5% ‘cis’ form which is a synthetic type and only has a fraction of the potency.
- Does the supplement contain ingredients which are damaged by stomach acid, such as L-Glutathione? We use the most effective delivery system for each of our products. If any of the ingredients are likely to be damaged by stomach acid we enteric-coat the tablets. This protects those nutrients as they pass through the stomach and release them in the upper intestine adding greatly to the effectiveness of the supplement.
