Anti-Glycation Agents
In the quest for perfect health the prevention of glycation is every bit as important as the controlling of free radicals with anti-oxidants. Unfortunately there is really only one nutrient that effectively addresses this problem, and that is dipetide called Carnosine.
Carnosine provides a protective shield around proteins in your cells and prevents the damage from glycating agents. Unfortunately It is not practical to use Carnosine in our Multi-Xtra because it is not only very expensive but it also requires an enteric coating in order to be effective. This would have a significant impact on the cost of Multi-Xtra and negate our objective of providing a superior multi vitamin/mineral supplement at the lowest possible cost.
Therefore we can only effectively deal with glycation within our Total Balance range.
