Bone & Joint

Support for your body’s ‘Superstructure’

Without strong bones and joints, not only will your body’s “superstructure” be weak, you are also likely to suffer pain and discomfort. As we age, bone loss usually develops into osteoporosis, and brittle bones which in turn raises the risk of fractures which in turn can often lead to premature death. Arthritis also can develop in the joints which can be a source of debilitating pain.

Many people are under the impression that the cause of poor bone health is lack of calcium intake.  Whereas that can be a factor it is only one of them. We all need a certain amount of calcium intake in an effective bio-available form…but, more often than not bone density loss is triggered when the blood becomes slightly acidic. In other words has a pH imbalance.

Because the human body cannot survive if the blood becomes acidic, the body’s systems will do as it normally does. Take action to ensure the immediate survival of the body even though it will lead to future problems at a later stage if not rectified…in this case by drawing calcium out of the bones to neutralize the acid in the blood.

What to do to maintain good bone density?

  • In the first instance eat plenty of green vegetables to reduce the risk of your blood becoming acidic.
  • Get plenty of sensible sunshine…without sunscreen.  Vitamin D is crucial to bone health.  The amount of Vitamin D your body can produce and store in 20 minutes of direct sunshine is more than taking a month's worth of high dose of Vitamin D supplements. Plus there is reason to believe that the sunshine has health benefits that science is not even aware of yet.
  • Have regular weight bearing exercise!  This is critical…even if you are a great, grandma or grandpa! The bones are a living tissue and are like muscles. They need resistance training. This has been proven time and again. It is never to old to start.

Apart from diet, exercise and sunshine you can supplement to help support a positive pH level in your blood. And, you can take a quality calcium supplement, but don’t overdo it.

If you are already experiencing discomfort in the joints there are also some good nutrient that will support them and may even help with pain reduction.

Option 1

If you feel that your calcium levels are low and need a boost and you also want some basic support for your joints, and also some support for alkalizing your body.

3 Caps/Day (1 Bottle/30 Days)
2 Soft Gels/Day (1 Bottle/30 Days)
1 Sachet/Day (1 Box/30 Days)

Option 2

If in addition to needing a ‘top up’ in calcium but also experience some joint discomfort then try Option 1 PLUS our Green Lipped Mussel Extract. The Green Lipped Mussel can also be taken as a stand alone product for mild joint pain. As it is a food the dosage rate can be increased if desired. If your calcium levels are fine, then leave off the Bone-Support but still keep the Omega 3 Fish Oil.
