Question: From Tim. (Subject: HGH...)q1

I have been looking at a number of HGH products as it does seem to me that there may be a direct ageing effect of falling natural HGH levels. The full story may be considerably more involved, but this seems something worth trying for 'over fifties' such as myself who think that they already look and feel old enough!

However, whenever I start down this track I am quickly put off by the prices of such products. I suppose that if I knew for a fact that such products were proven to work, I might consider coughing up the loot, but as I am not fully convinced of the benefits I have not so far tried any HGH products.

If your company can come up with something more reasonably priced and fully researched I would be most interested in details.

Answer: From Warren.

The HGH products on the market are either in spray form with minute amounts of HGH or HGH precursors which are basically amino acid mixes. Both types are overpriced. The amino acid mixes can help raise the level of HGH in young people but are of limited benefit for anyone over the age of 50. The HGH sprays are questionable as the HGH molecule is very unstable and cannot pass through the mucous membrane of the mouth.

These products will do little to help you maintain a healthy hormonal balance long term. The key to achieving this is providing all the essential nutrients to all your organs so that your natural hormonal can work as efficiently as possible.

This is one of the objectives of Total Balance and we have proved how effective it is in achieving this objective, however it takes time. To give you an idea how effective it can be, my HGH as measured by IGF-1 is similar to an average 28 year old. The same levels apply to my testosterone which has doubled in the last three years. I am 57 years old. Other than our own supplements, I do not take anything else, and I have never had any type of hormone replacement.

So, if you want to slow down the aging process I would suggest that you concentrate on your general health and if your organs are all functioning properly hormone replacement should never be necessary. In fact, hormone replacement is potentially dangerous as can affect your natural hormone production. Also, taking high doses of amino acid precursors has negative implications if taken long term.

If I were you I would consider taking the full dose of our Total Balance (6 tabs a day) plus the Omega 3's as your foundation. Then have your hormone levels checked and assess at that time if you need to add anything else.

Question: From Jim. (Subject: Body Electric.)q2

We presently use several supplements from Body Electric (BE), Colville, WA 99114. BE claims that they use the richest, purest raw materials so that the natural electrical energy remains intact to work in harmony with the electrical matrix of the human body. Your comments re BE & the electrical matrix make up of the human body?

Answer: From Warren.

I had a look at their website and have to say in all honesty that I think their products are very basic. Expensive too! There is nothing special about the supplements. Rather they have a good marketing angle with the 'electrical emphasis'. A good raw ingredient is a good raw ingredient…period! They don't do anything to 'charge' them up. The human body is a complex matrix of electrical currents and they work by receiving the right nutrients. The only challenge is getting those nutrients into the blood stream so they can be distributed to your cells. In that regard they are falling down as they do not have an effective delivery system given that a large proportion of their ingredients will get damaged by stomach acids. In contrast we release the nutrients in Total Balance in the upper intestine and protect them during their passage through the stomach. For more info please click here.

Question: From Jim. (Subject: Maintenance program...)q3

What maintenance program using your products would you recommend for my wife and I?

Answer: From Nicolien.

For a good general health supplement program it would be virtually impossible to improve on a simple regime of using the full daily dose of Total Balance Men's Plus for yourself and Total Balance Women's Plus for your wife, or the Unisex version if she does not have any menopausal issues. (2 bottles each per month) PLUS 2 soft gels per day of our Omega 3 DHA/esters.

The Men's Plus will also give you good prostate protection. If your budget will stretch far enough you may like to consider adding our Neurological formula as well as it targets the entire nervous system including the brain.
